Madron

September 21

Modron, the Fall Equinox, Harvest Festival

This is another time in the year when both the night and day are equal., The date of the festival might vary from year to year, as with othe Equinoxes and Solstices. This is another time when we should seek balence in ourselves, throwing out the old, and bringing in the new. Madorn is the feast of the Healer, the Bringer of Justice and the Release of the Prisoners.

In the old days this is when the people would know how successful the grops were, and how much they have to live in for the winter. This is when prisoners of wars would be released to their families. This is the time of the year when conflict would rarely be faught in battle, you might be long stranded form the nearest town, or house, with no food or water. This was a time for the healing of physical wounds and the resolution of arguments.

At this time witches will release 'prisoner', not people but regrets and arguments they have held on to. Madron is a time for forgiveness of others, but more importantly yourself. Letting go of mistakes you have made, things you said, or not, that cause regret should be let go of. Forgiveness is a big part of the healing proccess.
